What we store in your browser

We save two settings in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them next time: your light or dark theme (up-theme) and your chosen difficulty (up-difficulty). They never leave your device. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Your games, hints and solver searches run in your browser. We don't send them to a server.

Server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and block abuse. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Cookies, analytics and ads

We don't set cookies of our own. We may add Google Analytics to count visits and Google AdSense to show ads that keep the site free. If we do, these services may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info.
• How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com.

Where the law requires it, for example in the EU, UK or some US states, we will ask for your consent before loading ad or analytics cookies.

Children

The site is for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
